ROOT and Install TWRP in SAMSUNG GalaxyJ1 [SM-J100H]

Hello! There and Welcome.

  If you are a SamsungGalaxyJ1 user then you are in a right place. As everyone of you know that it is a low budget smartphone with less features and also didn't have the ability to handle heavy tasks but that doesn't means that we can't make it better. We can, but before that we have to know that how we can do it? Yes, for me the simple answer will by providing the Root access to it with installation of Custom Recovery (TWRP, CWM, and Philz) in it. So that we can make further customization in it and can use this smartphone at its full potential.

So, in this post I am going to tell you How you can simply 'ROOT and Install Custom Recovery' in your SamsungGalaxyj1.

So before starting we have to first fulfill our requirements that are needed to achieve our task.

So, the things that we need are:-

1.      A PC or Laptop.

2.      The SamsungGalaxyJ1.

3.      Samsung USB Drivers.

4.      A Data Cable.

5.      The Odin tool.

6.      A Custom Recovery.

So, first we will install the custom recovery then we will move to our rooting part.

Steps for installing Custom Recovery.

1.      So, first download and install the Samsung USB Drivers in your PC.

2.      After installing the Samsung USB Drivers then head off towards your Smartphone and enable the developer option [MENU>SETTINGS>ABOUT DEVICE>BUILT NUMBER] then click the built number for 7 times and you will became a Developer.

3.    After that go to the Developer menu and enable the USB Debugging option and after that  reboot your phone to the bootloader menu and to do so [Press POWER BUTTON>SWITCH OFF] now hold the key combination [POWER BUTTON+VOLUME DOWN+HOME BUTTON] after that the bootloader menu will get popup.

4.      Then Connect your Smartphone through PC Via USB Cable.

5.      After that Run the ODIN Tool in your PC then in your smartphone press the Volume up button then suddenly you will see a message as ‘ADDED’ in the ODIN Tool.

6.      Before starting the installing procedure always remember to uncheck the ‘F.Time Reset’ because it can cause error while flashing the Custom Recovery.

7.      After that move toward the ‘AP’ Button click it and a window will get popup in which you have to locate your Custom Recovery.zip file (for e.g. here I am using the TWRP.zip  ) and after locating you have to just click on ‘OPEN’

8.       Now just click on the ‘START’ button and within 2 sec the Custom Recovery will get installed in your SamsungGalaxyJ1 and phone will get auto Rebooted.

Now, Custom Recovery installation part has been completed successfully so, let’s move on towards our Rooting Part.

Steps for Rooting.

1.      Now, for Rooting we have to reboot to our Custom Recovery and to do so first ‘SWITCH OFF’ our smartphone and to hold a new key combination that is [POWER BUTTON+VOLUME UP+ HOME BUTTON] and within 15 sec the custom recovery will boot up.

          

2.      Then just click on [REBOOT>SYSTEM] then the TWRP  will automatically ask for the ‘ROOT Access’ click on ‘ROOT’ and then the phone will again boot up towards the System.

3.      Now, in the system there will be a ‘SUsuper installer package’ app but before opening it you should be connected to the internet.

4.      After getting connected with the internet just run that application then you will see a popup window just wait for few seconds to complete the download.

5.      Then it will ask for how to install the app just select the ‘TWRP’ and then the phone will once reboot towards the Recovery then towards the system.
